Terms of service

This translation is provided for convenience. If it differs from the Spanish version, the Spanish version prevails.

1. Who provides the service

Vecinar is a software as a service (SaaS) product provided by [NOMBRE Y APELLIDOS O RAZÓN SOCIAL], with NIF/CIF (Spanish tax ID) [NIF/CIF] and registered address at [DOMICILIO COMPLETO]. These terms govern the use of the app by communities of owners and their members.

2. Signing up

Whoever registers a community acts on its behalf and declares that they are authorised to do so (e.g. the president, the owners' meeting or the property manager). Signing up is done online: you create the account, register the community and choose a plan. We will confirm the subscription by email.

3. Price, trial and invoicing

The price is calculated per active unit in the community, according to the chosen plan, and is shown before you pay. Prices include the applicable VAT. There is a free 30-day trial; when it ends, the subscription is charged on a recurring basis through Stripe until it is cancelled. You can cancel or change plan at any time from the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid.

If the customer is a consumer, they have the 14-day right of withdrawal under Real Decreto Legislativo 1/2007 (Spain's consumer protection law), with the proviso that, if they ask for the service to start immediately, they must pay for the part already provided.

4. The data belongs to the community

All the data and documents the community enters are its own. Vecinar processes them only to provide the service (see the Privacy Policy). The community can export them or ask for them back at any time, including when it changes property manager, and after it leaves we will delete or return them as it instructs. Each community is responsible for having a legal basis for the data it uploads and for its members using the platform lawfully.

Vecinar acts as a mere storage service: it does not review, edit or validate the files, documents or data users upload, and is not responsible for their content, accuracy or lawfulness. Responsibility for what is uploaded lies with the community and the user who provides it. In accordance with Article 16 of the LSSI-CE, if we gain actual knowledge that content is unlawful, we will promptly remove it or block access to it. You can let us know at hola@vecinarapp.com.

5. Acceptable use

You may not upload unlawful or offensive content or content that infringes third-party rights, try to access other communities' data, or interfere with the operation of the service. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms, giving notice where possible.

6. Availability and liability

We work to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Except in cases of wilful misconduct or gross negligence, our liability is limited to the fees paid in the previous 12 months. This does not limit consumers' statutory rights, which cannot be waived.

7. Changes, duration and cancellation

The contract lasts as long as the subscription is active. We may change these terms with at least 30 days' notice; if you do not agree, you can cancel without penalty.

8. Governing law

Spanish law applies. For consumers, the courts of their place of residence have jurisdiction. Complaints: hola@vecinarapp.com.
